Twin Oaks Family Newsletter 1.28.2019
Dear Twin Oaks Families,
This week is our 20th week of school. It is hard to imagine that we are half way through the year and completing Semester 1. Friday, February 1st is a grading day for teachers and a no school day for students.
We are excited about our Family Event scheduled for this Thursday. Please join us for the Pajama Jam from 6:00-7:00. We have several activities planned that will engage your children in reading. Every student will be receiving a new book to add to their book collection at home. There will also be a book exchange where students can bring in any children’s books that you are ready to pass on to the next reader and pick out gently used books to take home with them.
The Attendance HERO program begins on Monday. Our goal is to get all of our students attending school regularly and arriving on-time. We want to recognize the many students that are here everyday ready to learn. We know that there will be times when students miss school. If children are ill and contagious, we want them to stay home and recuperate. We know there will be medical appointments that can only be scheduled during school hours. We understand when families have commitments that require students to miss school days. These absences are scheduled in advance and communicated to the school. If your child is going to be absent or late to school please call and inform the office and/or the classroom teacher. Planned, excused absences will not affect the classroom Attendance HERO program.
Warmly,
Denisa Taylor
Principal
