Dear Twin Oaks Families,
TWIN OAKS FUNDRAISER AT GET AIR: On Thursday, May 2nd, Get Air is hosting a fundraiser which will benefit our school. Take the family to the Get Air Trampoline Park at 4211 W. 11th Avenue, Eugene, between 5pm-10pm. Get Air will donate 20% of all jump costs. There is no school on Friday so you can stay out as late as you want. Have fun!
NO SCHOOL DAYS: There is no school for students on Friday, May 3rd and Wednesday, May 8th. Friday, May 3rd has been a planned no school day as indicated on the 2018-2019 Elementary School Calendar. It is a Grading/Transition Day for staff.
Eugene 4J School District schools will be closed on May 8th due to a planned “Day of Action”. There is clear indications that teacher absences and substitute shortages will exceed the school district’s ability to provide safe and adequate supervision for our students, therefore it has been determined that it is necessary to cancel the school day on May 8. KENNEDY TRANSITION ACTIVITIES for INCOMING 6th GRADERS: Kennedy Middle School; has scheduled 3 events in May/June for our 5th graders who will be transitioning to 6th grade in the Fall of 2019. All families are invited to a Welcome to Kennedy Family Night on Wednesday, May 22nd, 6:00-7:00. Kennedy Middle School student leaders will be visiting our 5th graders at Twin Oaks on Friday, May 24th, 12:00-12:45. On Monday, June 10th, 9:30-10:30 the 5th graders will be touring Kennedy.
KINDERGARTEN 2019-2010: If you have a child entering Kindergarten in September 2019, please stop by and pick up your registration packet. If you have a friend or neighbor with a Kindergarten aged child, please share this information with them.
FIFTH GRADE PROMOTION CELEBRATION: The date of the Fifth Grade Promotion Celebration has been scheduled. Please mark your calendars for Thursday, June 13th, 6:30-7:30 pm. More details will be shared soon.
TWIN OAKS FUN RUN: The annual Fun Run event is coming soon. The Fun Run is a fundraiser for Twin Oaks Elementary. The date of the Fun Run is Friday, May 17th. Students will be bringing home their Fun Run packets on May 2nd. We will need many volunteers to organize and put on the Fun Run.
